Welcome to 6th grade Spanish!
What an exciting time to learn Spanish! School is just beginning and we are anticipating a great year ahead as we continue to hone our language skills in the second most commonly spoken language on the planet. Spanish is extremely useful in everyday life and we have the opportunity to practice almost anytime we want to in this community. How many California cities can you name that are of Spanish origin?
Below is an electronic copy of the syllabus, or course expectations, for this class. Mostly, Introduction to Spanish is a fun and basic way of giving you a foundation in the language and cultures of Spanish-speaking regions in the world. Given to you on the first week of class will be a Parent/student survey that I will use to tailor this class to your needs as a learner, please return them as soon as possible. Don't worry, there are no right or wrong answers here! The forms will only be seen by me.
I look forward to this opportunity to share the love of language I have with you and to celebrate the unique possibilities we have for exploring Spanish in our own back yard.
